With a lot of information collected, and the most accurate epd's in the industry, it can be confusing how to use all of it. The first step for any rancher is to decide what traits are going to improve your bottom line. Traits that don't matter to you, don't use them for your bull buying decision making.
What traits do matter to you, work out your priorities, put more emphasis on traits that can't be compromised, and moderate emphasis on traits that are only nice to work on.
Please reach out if you have any questions about how to incorporate this mountain of information into your operation, I am always ready to help.

The world of EPD's is truly endless. If there's a trait that is genetic, it can be made into an EPD. EPD's will not account for environmental factors, but they provide a general comparison that is equal for herd to herd, animal to animal basis. These are enhanced using DNA analysis, creating an GE-EPD (Genetically Enhanced Expected Progeny Difference).
Almost every purebred animal born on the Rebel Creek Angus ranch has been DNA tested, and measured in almost every way possible, our commitment to genetic accuracy is at the top of all cattle in the entire world.
We don't select, or breed entirely on numbers, but we know how to use them, so we use them to our customers benefit.
